An in-depth look at the aspects of Mantra and meditation, and how we can employ both in our daily lives. Mantras involve the repetition of sacred sounds or phrases, which aid in bringing the body and mind to meditation. The word mantra is roughly translated as 'tool for awareness.' We will explore the practice of mantra in meditation together, allowing you to take away techniques for your personal practice and everyday growth.

Journaling is one of the many forms of meditation. We can access the deeper levels of consciousness through this creative form of writing. Through journaling and meditating, we can relax and release tension in the body and see how we are creating our own reality with our thoughts, feelings and actions. For inner guidance and inspiration, journaling, coupled with meditation is ideal. This 2-hour session involves guided meditation through use of breath and mindfulness. Please bring a pen and a small notebook to class.

This class is a mix of Qigong and Tai Chi! Qigong is a practice of aligning breath with the body's movements. With roots in Chinese medicine, martial arts, and philosophy, qigong is traditionally viewed as a practice to cultivate and balance qi (chi) or what has been translated as intrinsic life energy. Tai Chi is the true embodiment of Yin and Yang - the duality and complement of opposites. This 10 week series is aimed towards all levels of practice.

MANTRA - Friday, 1/31: In this evening of mantra through meditation and chanting, you will find ways to improve your health, lighten your everyday life, and live in harmony with the universe. This is the first part of a series of three seminars on the living practices of Tantric Yoga, awakening the Shakti in all of us. Shakti is the energy of the Divine Feminine, whether you are male or female and brings balance to your being. This is a fun way to begin discovering what Tantra is truly all about. It isn't what you may think.
YANTRA - Friday, 2/28: In this second part of the series, you will see how the vibrations of your mantras can configure into a visual design. This visual design is a manifestation of the sacred geometry of the universe. You will learn how to use the Yantras for meditation and learn how to create your own, if so desired. This is an extension of the first workshop on Mantras, but if you cannot attend that evening, it is no problem, since elements of that evening will be brought into this Yantra meditation workshop.
TANTRA - Friday, 3/28: In the Tantra workshop, you will discover the meaning of Tantra and how it can be used in your asana practice, meditation and your everyday life. Primarily, you will learn the keys to body /mind transformation. There are many misconceptions about Tantra from the Americanized view. This workshop will allow you to see that Tantra is about a balanced life.
